Had a great time at the Festival of Quilts at the NEC again this year. Of particular interest to me were the Fine Art Quilt Masters, the 5th European Quilt Triennial and the Through Our Hands galleries. These smaller displays are so much more manageable than the main competitions and often less crowded, making it easier to stand back and appreciate the work. The standard of work was, once again stunning. I wish I could have stayed longer (even two days isn't enough!) and caught more of the lectures. It was great to catch up with old friends and meet new people.
